Protection and Responsibility

More and more flowers come from Africa and Latin America. Human rights organisations, unions and the floristry business want to ensure through a joint initiative that protection of the fundamental rights of the workers as well as the environment are guaranteed at flower production.

With the help of this initiative many flower workers now get a permanent work contract and paid mat ernity leave. Minimum wage and social security benefits are guarantied.

In order to protect the workers and the environment, strict precautions are taken with exposure to pesticide, and highly poisonous agents are prohibited.

Flower label

We set a high value on this seal for flowers coming from such countries (especially roses).

We aim to set a good example and show that these flowers do not need to be expensive.

Make someone happy with flowers.

We want to make sure that this happiness is shared with us and with the people who are working on the flower plantations.
